On Demand Differential and Transaction Log Backup

As of Backup Agent 7.9.3 for Windows, you can run differential and transaction log backups on demand.

Management Console

To run a differential backup in the Management Console:

1. Open the Management Console.
2. In the Computers menu, select Remote Management if you use the legacy main menu, or open the Backup > Computers page in the new main menu.
3. Find the required computer, then click the Configure icon in the Backup Plan Status column.
4. On the side panel, find the plan to run, then click on it.
5. Expand the "play" button, and then click Start differential backup.

The differential backup will be started.

To run a transaction log backup in the Management Console:

1. Open the Management Console.
2. In the Computers menu, select Remote Management if you use the legacy main menu, or open the Backup > Computers page in the new main menu.
3. Find the required computer, then click the Configure icon in the Backup Plan Status column.
4. On the side panel, find the plan to run, then click on it.
5. Expand the "play" button, and then click Start transaction log backup.

The transaction log backup will be started.

Backup Agent

To run a differential backup in Managed Backup Agent:

1. Open Backup Agent.
2. On the Backup Plan tab, find the plan in which you want to run a differential backup.
3. Expand the "play" button, and then click Start differential backup.

The differential backup will be started.

To run a transaction log backup in Managed Backup Agent:

1. Open Backup Agent.
2. On the Backup Plan tab, find the plan in which you want to run a transaction log backup.
3. Expand the "play" button, and then click Start transaction log backup.

The transaction log backup will be started.
