Administrative Roles Explained
The following roles are offered to grant different levels of access within one account: Management Console:
- Service Provider (the root administrator, the first in the Administrators list on Organization > Administrators in Management Console). The Provider role grants full access to monitoring tools and alerting services. The Provider is entitled to grant licenses to other administrative accounts, add domains to back up, and configure backup services and settings. The Provider has access to the Audit Log: the service that logs important actions in the Management Console. The Provider can configure the email notifications.
- Administrator (All Companies). This administrative role has access to all companies. By default, a created Administrator (All Companies) has no granted permissions. Permissions for Administrator are configured by Provider.
- Administrator (Specific Companies). This administrative role has access to the companies selected by the Provider. By default, a created Administrator (Specific Companies) has no granted permissions. Permissions for Administrator are configured by Provider.
