Backup Agent License Types

This chapter gives you a brief overview of the Managed Backup licensing policy and covers the following topics:

Trial Licenses

By default, a 15-day trial license is offered. Use the trial to evaluate the product.

License Expiration

Licenses are provided on a monthly or yearly basis. In the Management Console, the following actions with licenses are available:

• Manage licenses to change the assigned license
• Enable/disable auto-renewal
• Release licenses

Backup Agent License Types

To compare Backup Agent license types, refer to our site.

License availability depends on the operating system:

• macOS. Only the Desktop license type is available.
• Linux. Only the Server and Ultimate license types are available.
• Windows Server. The Desktop license type is not available.
