Transfer Backup Data To External Media

To ensure a smooth transfer of local backup data to cloud storage via an external device, follow these steps:

1. Wait for the backup plan to complete:
   • Make sure that the local backup process finishes successfully before starting the data transfer.
2. Prepare the external media:
   • Connect the external device to the system where the backup is stored.
   • Ensure the device has enough space to accommodate the backup data and is formatted with a compatible file system (e.g., NTFS for large files on Windows).
3. Copy backup data from local storage. Pay attention to keep the same subfolder structure that exists in the backup destination folder. This is required to perform incremental backups seamlessly. The same subfolder structure should be created in the destination folder when you transfer the data to the cloud storage.
4. Safely eject the external media.
