Downloads Panel

Backup Agents are delivered on a custom installation package basis. To get your own copy of the Backup Agent, generate the installation package, then download it. It is recommended to enable Sandbox, to test the installation package before it will be updated. Consider, you will be notified about custom installation package generation using Contact Email specified on Settings > General.

Sandbox

Sandbox is the best practice to test the installation package before it could be updated automatically, because sandbox installation packages do not automatically update the agents. Sandbox installation packages can be used to update the agents manually and individually from the Management Console page. Once the installation package is tested, it can be marked as public, this will result in the automatic update (if enabled).

Enable Sandbox

To enable Sandbox, proceed as follows:

1. Open the Management Console.
2. Click Downloads.
3. Click Options

3. On the Options tab, click Enable Sandbox Now you can manage sandbox installation packages.

Update Sandbox Installation Packages to the Latest Versions

As soon as the new agent version become available, you will be prompled to update sandbox installation package.

Click Make Sandbox to use the latest product version as a sandbox installation package.

Get Sandbox Installation Package for Testing

To try a sandbox installation package on your test environment click ** Get sandbox latest...** and wait a while until your request is processed.

As soon as your request is processed, click the download icon next to sandbox installation package to download and test it.

Make Sandbox Installation Package Public

Your customers will not be able to download and install the installation packages until you make them public. Once the installation package is tested, you can make it public, this will result in the automatic update (if enabled). Click Make Public button next to the sandbox installation package to make it public. This can take several minutes.

Generate New Installation Package

1. Open the Management Console.
2. Click Downloads.
3. Click the appropriate tab to download/use necessary Agent or tool

4. In the Downloads side pane, click Generate button next to the required software component installation package or edition (if applicable) you need. Wait while the installation package will be generated for you. By default, the public installation package is suggested to be downloaded. You can see the newest version of the product and can make it public by Make Public button. As soon as the newest version becomes public it will be available for all users. In case you already have generated installation packages and Enable Sandbox option for the download panel is enabled, you can add the newest version to your sandbox to test it before to make it public. To add the newest version to sandbox, click Make Sandbox button.

5. The installation packages are being generated. This may take several minutes.

Download Installation Package

To download the required software component, proceed as follows:

1. Open the Management Console.
2. Click Downloads.
3. Select the Agent or Tool you want to install
4. Click the Download button right to the installation package you intend to download.

Public Installation Packages

Public Backup Agent installation packages are open to download for all your users.

To make the installation package public, proceed as follows:

1. Open the Management Console.
2. Click Downloads.
3. Under the installation package you want to be public, click Make Public.

Delete Installation Packages

To delete a installation package, proceed as follows:

1. Open the Management Console.
2. Click Downloads.
3. On the tab named after the Agent ot the tool click actions to the right of the installation package to delete. Select Delete installation package
