Instant Restore to DR Server
Instant Restore to DR Server (Disaster Recovery Server) is a type of Instant Restore for image-based and virtual machine (VM) backups. It allows you to start a restored system on a designated DR Server directly from the backup data, without waiting for the full restore to complete. While the system is running on the DR Server, the remaining data is restored to the target storage. Once the full restore is complete, the system can run from the restored data instead of relying on the backup source, helping ensure continued operation and reduce downtime.
