System Requirements

Before installing Backup Agent, make sure that your computer meets the following requirements:

Hardware Requirements

Component	Requirement
CPU	Minimum 1.4GHz 64-bit
RAM	4GB minimum, 8GB recommended
Disk Space	Minimum 1GB of free disk space

The target computer must be connected to the Internet.

Hardware requirements for instant restore are higher, with a minimum of 16 GB of RAM. Instant restore to Hyper-V also requires temporary disk space equal to the size of the VM. This space is released after the restore is complete.

VMware Backup is supported for:

vSphere 6.0 to 9.0

vSphere 5.1 and 5.5 commercial versions are no longer supported. You may try to use them at your own risk.
